Here are a few new restaurants to check-out, according to reports by Community Impact.
Orleans Seafood Kitchen will be launching the second location at 6230 FM 1463, Fulshear. The 5,418 square-foot restaurant will offer New Orleans-inspired decorations, traditional Cajun fare and its counter order format, a full-service bar and a 1,385 square-foot patio.
Mahesh’s Kitchen opened in Sugar Land Town Square in September. Located at 16019 City Walk, Sugar Land, the Indian restaurant honors the owner's family’s Indian culture and customs. The menu features traditional options, including palak paneer, Chinese noodle chat and mango habanero salmon.
The Halal Guys opened its Katy location Oct. 2. Located at 23703 Cinco Ranch Blvd., Ste. B, Katy, the restaurant originally started as a food cart in 1990 and serves gyros, falafels and hummus, among other things.
Gauchos Do Sul will open a location at 902 W. Grand Parkway S., Katy, in January. The traditional Brazilian steakhouse features rodizio-style service and a gourmet salad area. The Katy location will be the third Gauchos Do Sul restaurant.
The Coffee Barr opened at 1933 East Ave., Katy, on July 9. This Katy resident-owned business serves coffee from a local roaster and sells pastries.
Nayaab, an Indo-Pak restaurant, opened at 16100 Kensington Drive, Ste. 400, Sugar Land, on Sept. 21. Nayaab offers dine-in and catering services.
Dim Sum Box opened a location at 1223 Grand West Blvd., Ste. B107, Katy, on Aug. 19. The restaurant offers more than 30 menu items, including shrimp and pork dumplings as well as red bean sesame balls, fried shrimp egg rolls and baked golden egg yolk lava buns.
The Nines Thai Cuisine had their grand opening Oct. 18 at 203 Century Square Blvd., Ste. 150, Sugar Land. The restaurant specializes in authentic Thai cuisine and has different menus for lunch and dinner, with the lunch menu featuring smaller portions.
