Exciting Grants Awarded to Teachers in Lamar CISD

According to a recent article, LEAF awarded a staggering $345,237 on Dec 6, 2023 in grants to 350 deserving teachers across the Lamar CISD schools. This initiative, dubbed the "Grant Express," involved 73 representatives, including foundation partners, district administrators, and board members, who embarked on a journey across the district to deliver giant checks and joy to numerous classrooms. 

The grants awarded are set to fund over 100 innovative classroom projects that span a broad spectrum of disciplines and learning experiences. From exploring the intersections of artificial intelligence and healthcare to combining literacy with robotic programming, these projects underscore a deep commitment to enhancing the educational journey of every student within Lamar CISD.
