The Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library opened in 1998 and has been serving the community with a wide variety of activities ever since. This library is a few minutes drive from our community and is across the street from the U.S. Post Office. Of course you can borrow books, but you can also take classes, join a reading group, use the printer and more.
The Bob Lutts/Simonton Branch Library is open every day but Sunday and holidays. Visitors enjoy free Wifi and the use of computers. For a small fee you can print, scan, photocopy or fax. These services are all available to members of the public but some of them require a library card.
The library is a great place to take children on dreary winter days. Each Tuesday at 10:15AM you can enjoy Toddler Time with your one to three-year old child. On Wednesday mornings at the same time kids aged three to six make crafts, listen to stories or watch movies. Occasionally there are special programs such as the Read-a-thon or After-School break.
There is no shortage of enjoyable activities for adults. The Fulshear Book Club and the Night Readers Book Club meet each month. A few times a month the library offers special talks and programs such as “Essential Oils for Relaxation and Sleep”, which takes place at 10AM on January 21. The library staff also offers technology classes for beginning level computer users. Those learning to read or who want to improve their language skills can take Literacy or English as a Second Language Courses.
